I am Juha Valkeapää (b. 1967), a vocal artist and performance maker with a 30-year long career of performances, installations, radio pieces and soundscapes – solos and various group works – vocal & sound & performance art, theatre, music, dance. The key elements of my art are voice / sound, presence, playfulness, improvisation, and a live contact with the audience.
In 2022–26 I’m working on a 5-year grant from the Arts Promotion Centre Finland.
